My comment on Yar's article that I expect he will delete like he deleted tom and Keld Bach's comments

Crap, dude. I was looking for US news and this bull@!$%# showed up. What is this? A pity-party? 50 comments for a 8-word article. Man, that's friggin' awesome. You rock dude. Totally. Except when you deleted the link to the Digg slander article posted by Keld Bach above because it shows you in a bad light. This is the link to that - digg.com/world_news/Terrorist_Propaganda_By_Keld_Bach_Removed_From_Newsvine

I'm gonna beat up my buddy who directed me to Newsvine as a "cool" site. He owes me. Big time.

----

Bull@!$%# man! If you just want to notify some people send them an private email or something instead of flooding newsvine with these whiney cries of self-pity.

Now he's gone and deleted his entire article. What a waste of time. Wasting others time that took part in his pity-party. That dude totally seems to have some self-esteem issues. Not only that he goes and posts on Digg so that Digg users can join his pity party. But, unfortunately, he don't know that Digg users are more savvy than what seems to be present here. He'll be dugg down in no time.

Bet he'll be back here though. People with low self-esteem always need the attention. He'll be back. Hasta la Vista, baby! Hahahahaha.

Now that dude has gone and posted another Goodbye article saying he's quitting Newsvine. Tagged it US-NEWS. Hahahaha.. Do you think CNN will be talking about it in tonight's news? hahaha

This yar guy is interesting. Looks like he is also a bit dumb. He created a new id "reactionary" and posted from it on "yar"'s column forgetting which id he was using. Here's the comment by "reactionary" threatening to delete something on "yar"'s column. Just in case he deletes it:

      =========================

      reactionary

      tom,

      You again evaded my question

What if it said in the headline, "Blacks kill 4 men in Seattle, kidnap 6 year old white girl" And the only source was a KKK site.
Can you honestly say you would allow that and even repost it?

and you have censored this from the community.

As long as these two conditions exist We have nothing to discuss.
If they persist for 2 more hopurs I will delete this and you can do what you want. You have the power and I am free. You decide.

Uh oh, wrong id dude. How can you "reactionary" delete something on "yar"'s column?? Unless you are both the same person. Hahaha.

Not surprisingly, he has now deleted his second "Goodby" article too. Wonder if we'll get a third one from him soon?

Aha! I was right. He put out a third and "final" goodby article. This is what he said in the end: "A final goodby and thanks. It was wonderful even with this ending."

Unfortunately, looks like he can't get Newsvine out of his system. His alter-ego - "reactionary" - is still very much active. Damn liar.

If it isn't cool than leave. A simple problem deserves a simple solution.

You're totally right. I'm not gonna be sticking around too long. Just a little detour from my Internet browsing. But, while I'm here, I'll check out the soap-operas here.

            Hahaha.

Abdul, the reason Yar left was he wanted to make a statement. He wanted to address a problem. That's why he created that post.

Meh, you're a bit slow, ain't you? He hasn't left yet. Read Comment 3. He's just posting as "reactionary" now.

Problem is he wanted to address a problem that was only in his head (and those of his fans). He thought that he was bigger than life. That was the problem. Why the hell would someone post a goodby article under us-news??!!! Cmon gimme a break.

Umm, the idea was that Newsvine was starting to start a flame war. He wanted to make a statement. I actually agree, I've seen it. See http://www.newsvine.com/_news/2007/02/19/576588-clinton-defends-sc-campaign-hire for more.

                Abdul:

I fail to see how this pissing and moaning about Yar make Newsvine any better. By posting something like this, you create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Maybe you ought to read the Code of Honor again.

Above all else, respect others. If you see disrespectful behavior, report it, rather than further inflaming the situation.

Before you write, seed, or comment, ask yourself if your contribution increases the strength and virtue of the community.

OH NOES!!! Our opinionated articles do not appeal to the '17 year old man'.

So you got your comments deleted... Life's a @!$%#, isn't it?

The reason you don't find Newsvine to be 'cool' is because you're most likely here for the wrong reasons. Like you I'm also young, but I'm here because I like the News, and I find that Newsvine gives me the news I want. Simple as that. I don't care how small or unknown on the radar Newsvine is, it's quaint nature, and dedicated user base are one of the many reasons publications like Time Magazine, The New York Times, and NewScientist.com have taken interest.

Losing Yar was the equivalent of losing BBC News to some users, so naturally those people deserved a reason for his departure. Personally, I couldn't care less about Yar's departure. It's his decision, and whilst I may have had comments deleted I want to get back to what I was using Newsvine for in the first place. I suggest you do the same, or go back to Digg, where you obviously seem more at home.
